City of San Leandro <br />Meeting Date: September 19, 2016 <br />Resolution - Council <br />Agenda Section:File Number:16-355 CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Agenda Number: <br />TO:City Council <br />FROM:Chris Zapata <br />City Manager <br />BY:Keith Cooke <br />Engineering & Transportation Director <br />FINANCE REVIEW:David Baum <br />Finance Director <br />TITLE:RESOLUTION Approving a Consultant Services Agreement with Carollo <br />Engineers, Inc. for Close-Out Consulting Services and Services not <br />completed under the Engineering Consulting Services Agreement on the <br />Water Pollution Control Plant Rehabilitation Project, Project 08-593-52-239, <br />in the Amount of $375,589 to be Funded by Water Pollution Control Plant <br />Enterprise Funds (provides for assistance to staff with the resolution of claims <br />filed by the construction contractor related to potential and alleged delay <br />costs, unresolved contract change orders and credit to City for work items <br />removed from construction contract, and completion of consultant contract <br />tasks carried over from prior contract) <br />WHEREAS, an agreement between the City of San Leandro and Carollo Engineers, <br />Inc., dated July 5, 2011 expired on December 30, 2015: and <br />WHEREAS, it is the City of San Leandro’s desire to incorporate and complete the <br />remaining tasks in the expired agreement into a new agreement: and <br />WHEREAS, an agreement between the City of San Leandro and Carollo Engineers, <br />Inc., a copy of which is attached, has been presented to this City Council; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />That said remaining tasks in the expired agreement be incorporated into the said <br />agreement; and <br />Page 1 City of San Leandro Printed on 9/13/2016
