City of San Leandro <br />Meeting Date: October 3, 2016 <br />Resolution - Council <br />Agenda Section:File Number:16-464 CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Agenda Number: <br />TO:City Council <br />FROM:Chris ZapataCity Manager <br />BY:Keith Cooke <br />Engineering & Transportation Director <br />FINANCE REVIEW:Not Applicable <br />TITLE:RESOLUTION Authorizing the City Manager to Execute a $134,000 Grant <br />Agreement with the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) for the Traffic <br />Safety Education Programs for Youth and Older Adults; OTS Grant No. <br />PS1715 <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro was awarded a $134,000 California Office of <br />Traffic Safety (OTS) grant for Traffic Safety Education Programs in San Leandro K-8 public <br />schools and for older adults; and <br />WHEREAS, a Grant Agreement must be approved and executed to allow OTS to <br />disburse the grant funds; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />That said agreement is hereby approved and the City Manager or his designee is <br />hereby authorized and directed to execute the same on behalf of the City. <br />Page 1 City of San Leandro Printed on 9/27/2016
