Comments on Draft Environmental Impact Report for the City of San LeandrWs General <br />Plan Update <br />'lank you for the opportunity tocomment on the Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) for the <br />City of San Le ndro's general Plan. update The proposed Plan would replace the City's existing <br />General Plan (updated in 2002). The proposed General plan Update will guide development and <br />conservation in the city through the 2035 buildout horizon of the General Plan. For most of San; <br />Leandro, the current land use designations established by the 2002 General flan would remain <br />unchanged. The proposed Plan removes the Gree land use designation and includes the following new <br />land use designations 1) medium-high density residential, 2) Bay Fair Transit -Oriented Development, <br />and 3) industrial Transition The majority of proposed changes consist of the redesignation of situ that <br />were previously designated as Vice or the application of the new laud use designations to sites that <br />were previously designated for other uses.
