Both meetings were advertised <br />on Nextdoor. <br />The Notice to Bidders was published in the Daily Review, the South County Post, Visión <br />Hispana, and World Journal. Staff also notified twenty-one builders exchanges and <br />construction data firms as well as a list of contractors that have asked to be notified of bidding <br />opportunities via email about the advertisement of the subject project. <br />Prior to start of construction, 8’-wide by 4’-high project information signs were installed along <br />Park Street near the north corner of the Siempre Vere Park and also in the landscaped area <br />along San Leandro Blvd west of the park. Residents were also notified via Nextdoor of the <br />construction phase approximately one month prior. <br />The park rededication ceremony on October 1, 2016 was advertised in the San Leandro <br />Times and on social media sites, such as Facebook and Nextdoor. Banners were posted at <br />Siempre Verde Park and also at the Main Library about the event. Recreation and Human <br />Services staff went door-to-door in the adjacent residential neighborhood to distribute flyers in <br />English, Chinese, and Spanish about the park rededication.
