City of San Leandro <br />Meeting Date: January 17, 2017 <br />Resolution - Council <br />Agenda Section:File Number:16-718 CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Agenda Number: <br />TO:City Council <br />FROM:Chris Zapata <br />City Manager <br />BY:Uchenna Udemezue <br />Engineering & Transportation Director <br />FINANCE REVIEW:David Baum <br />Finance Director <br />TITLE:RESOLUTION Authorizing the City Manager to Negotiate and Approve <br />Individual and Cumulative Change Orders Up to 10% ($51,788) of the Original <br />Contract Amount with Century Carpet for the Main Library Carpet <br />Replacement; Project No. 2014.0370 <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro did, on November 7, 2016, award a construction <br />contract to Century Carpet for the Main Library Carpet Replacement Project for $517,885; and <br />WHEREAS, the cost to complete the work will exceed the originally approved contract <br />amount; and <br />WHEREAS, the project budget is sufficient to accommodate the increased cost. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />The City Manager is authorized to negotiate and approve individual and cumulative <br />change orders up to 10% ($51,788) of the original contract amount with Century Carpet for <br />the Main Library Carpet Replacement, Project No. 2014.0370. <br />Page 1 City of San Leandro Printed on 1/10/2017
