Debt Administration. At the end of the current fiscal year, the City’s total long-term debt outstanding is <br />$86.2 million, an increase of $300,000 from the prior fiscal year. The net increase will be explained <br />below. <br /> At the end of the current fiscal year, the City’s total long-term debt outstanding for governmental activities <br />is $42.1 million, a decrease of $2.3 million from the prior fiscal year. The net decrease primarily reflects <br />normal debt amortization. <br /> <br />At the end of the current fiscal year, the City’s total long-term debt outstanding for business-type activities is $44.2 million, an increase of $2.1 million from the prior fiscal year. The net increase primarily reflects <br />additional loans secured from the State Water Resources Board to finance the Wastewater System <br />Expansion and Improvement Project. <br /> Additional information on the City’s long-term debt obligations can be found in Note 6 of the notes to the <br />financial statements. <br /> <br />The following is a summary of the City’s outstanding debt: <br /> <br /> ECONOMIC FACTORS AND NEXT YEAR’S BUDGET <br /> The economy of the City and major initiative are discussed in the Transmittal Letter located in the <br />Introductory Section of the CAFR. <br /> <br />REQUESTS FOR INFORMATION <br /> This financial report is designed to provide a general overview of the City’s finances for all of its citizens, <br />taxpayers, customers, investors and creditors.
