Segment Analysis 4 <br />4-3 <br />4.0 SEGMENT ANALYSIS <br />This report is organized into eight segments that highlight opportunities and <br />challenges for construction of the potential trail. The potential trail runs <br />through differing jurisdictions and terrains. Therefore, while the corridor must <br />be looked at in its entirety, it is also helpful to look at specific areas differently. <br />Consequently, the document will be organized into the following segments <br />from west to east: <br />• Segment 1: San Leandro Bay to Hegenberger Road <br />• Segment 2: Hegenberger Road to 98th Avenue <br />• Segment 3: 98th Avenue to I-880 <br />• Segment 4: I-880 to Railroad <br />• Segment 5: Railroad to East 14th Street <br />• Segment 6: E. 14th Street to Bancroft Avenue <br />• Segment 7: Bancroft Avenue to I-580 <br />• Segment 8: I-580 to Chabot Park <br />FIGURE 4-1: PROJECT AREA SEGMENTS <br />49
