IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2017-026 <br />RESOLUTION DECLARING SIXTEEN (16) VEHICLES AS SURPLUS AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE SALE THEREOF AT PUBLIC AUCTION (APPROVES THE <br />PUBLIC AUCTION FOR THE SURPLUS OF SAID VEHICLES AND EQUIPMENT). <br />WHEREAS, Section 1-6-500 of the San Leandro Municipal Code authorizes the City's <br />Purchasing Agent to sell equipment which has become unsuitable or unnecessary for the City <br />purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, sixteen (16) vehicles have been identified as no longer useful to City <br />operations and therefore should be declared surplus and sold at auction; and <br />WHEREAS, the San Leandro and San Lorenzo Unified School Districts have been <br />contacted and San Leandro Unified School District has purchased two vehicles. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />Following public notice as may be required by law and in accordance with Section 1-6-500 <br />of the San Leandro Municipal Code the declaration of surplus and authorization of the sale of <br />sixteen (16) vehicles at public auction by U.S. Auctions is scheduled for Friday April 7, 2017. <br />Introduced by Councilmember Cox, and passed and adopted this 6th day of March, 2017, <br />by the following vote: <br />Members of the Council: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Ballew, Cox, Hernandez, Lee, Lopez, Thomas; <br />Mayor Cutter (7) <br />NOES: None (0) <br />ABSENT: None (0) <br />ATTEST: <br />Tamika reenwood, City Clerk <br />
