For the purposes of the BART mural only: <br />ABG shall construct, release, and distribute a Call For Artists to submit portfolios for the BART Mural <br />selection process. <br />ABG shall review submissions and outline the most suitable candidates, conduct a preliminary screening of <br />candidates with staff from BART and the City of San Leandro. <br />ABG shall coordinate the selected artist finalists to present or represent their ideas, and to make <br />themselves available to learn about the identity of San Leandro. <br />ABG shall present selected finalist portfolios to the Art Commission for feedback to aid in final selection. <br />ABG shall coordinate final selection of the most suitable candidate. <br />Scope of Impact and Locations (Subject to change upon availability): <br />Currently, there are four confirmed sites being considered for this project. <br />Site 1– the Downtown San Leandro BART sub -station building <br />Site 2 –1800 Merced Street <br />Site 3 –1605 Abram Court (visible from 1-880 freeway) <br />Site 4 –14995 Farnsworth Avenue <br />All sites are of high visibility and substantial impact. <br />Costs of Services: <br />Site 1 - $25,000 <br />Site 2 - $22,500 <br />Site 3 - $22,500 <br />Site 4 - $10,000 <br />All site costs include artists' stipends and maintenance contingencies. <br />TOTAL PROJECT COST: $80,000 <br />Maintenance: <br />Upon completion, all sites will be sealed with an anti -vandalism clear coat. This sealant, called "Graffiti <br />Defenz Sheercoat," was developed by Precita Eyes Mural Arts Company of San Francisco and is a UV - <br />protectant that seals the color in and delays the fading from sun exposure, providing mural art with long <br />lasting color vibrancy and brilliance. This sealant also provides protection from other forms of vandalism, <br />including graffiti. Application of this clear coat provides a protectant layer between the artwork and the <br />Consulting Services Agreement between May 1, 2016 <br />City of San Leandro and Athen B Gallery—Exhibit A Page 2 of 3 <br />
