IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2017-069 <br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE CONSULTING SERVICES AGREEMENTS WITH DKS <br />ASSOCIATES, FEHR & PEERS, AND W -TRANS, FOR ON-CALL TRANSPORTATION <br />ENGINEERING CONSULTING SERVICES IN AN AMOUNT NOT -TO -EXCEED <br />$100,000 WITHIN EACH 12 -MONTH PERIOD <br />FOR THREE YEARS WITH EACH FIRM <br />WHEREAS, the Transportation Engineering Division of the Engineering and <br />Transportation Department evaluates, plans, designs, procures, integrates, and implements traffic <br />control and calming devices; bicycle and pedestrian facilities; and public parking facilities to <br />meet the multi -modal transportation needs within the City of San Leandro; and <br />WHEREAS, the Transportation Engineering Division seeks to provide timely and <br />efficient services to residents, developers, and the Project Development Division of the <br />Engineering & Transportation Department; and <br />WHEREAS, staff issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) seeking transportation <br />engineering consulting firms that can assist with transportation and traffic engineering projects as <br />needed;and <br />WHEREAS, after reviewing proposals from seven consultants, staff recommends that <br />DKS Associates, Fehr & Peers, and W -Trans should be individually retained to provide on-call <br />consulting services in amounts not -to -exceed $100,000 each within 12 -month periods for three <br />consecutive years; and <br />WHEREAS, staff recommends that the City Council authorize the City Manager to enter <br />Consulting Services Agreements between the City and each of the recommended for selection <br />consulting firms, copies of which are attached and presented to this City Council; and <br />WHEREAS, a blanket purchase order will be requested for each individual consulting <br />firm as tasks are assigned.
