c - <br />For those retired salaried officers and employees who are currently members of one of the City's three medical <br />plans, the City shall pay medical plans' two-party rate costs until the member is eligible for Medicare coverage as <br />follows: <br />A. San Leandro Police Officers' Association <br />This Subsection A applies only to those retired City employees who were assigned to classifications <br />represented by the San Leandro Police Officer's Association. Effective Mar -rah 1, 1996 January 1, 1998, the <br />City shall contribute to the health plan two-party rate costs until the retired employee is eligible for Medicare <br />coverage. The maximum amount to be contributed by the City is as follows: <br />Maximum. Per Month <br />Blue Cross $332.17 <br />Kaiser 341.04 <br />Health Not 360.10 <br />CaliforniaCare HMO 310.00 <br />The City shall implement a "Medicare risk" medical insurance plan (open only to those employees who <br />are eligible for Medicare at age 65) and shall contribute up to Forty Dollars ($40) per month toward the <br />cost of the Medicare risk premium. For current employees not eligible for Medicare at age 65, the City <br />shall continue to provide medical insurance coverage until age 70 at one half of the pre -65 contribution <br />rate set forth in this section. <br />In the event the amounts required by the health plans exceed the maximum City contribution, such excess <br />amounts shall be paid by the retiree. Effective March 1, 1996, the Kaiser plan offered to retirees shall be <br />converted to a five dollar ($5.00) copayment for office visits and prescription drugs. <br />Dental: For those retired employees who were represented by the San Leandro Police Officers' Association <br />and who are currently members of the City's dental plan, or who were members of the City's dental plan and <br />retired on or after January 1, 1980: effective Mar -eh 1, 1996 January 1, 1998 the City shall contribute a <br />maximum of Sixty-eight Dollars and Fourteen Cents ($68.14) per month. Any increases in dental plan costs <br />during the term of this Agreement shall be split equally between the City and the retired employee. <br />22 <br />
