Goldman Associates developed this Public Art Master Plan for the City of San Leandro
from July 2016 through May 2017. To gain a comprehensive understanding of the state of public
art in San Leandro and to solicit broad-based input into the planning process, the master
planning team conducted extensive research using several approaches.
The research methods included one-on-one interviews with stakeholders in person or by
phone, targeted focus group sessions, and large-scale public meetings. Multiple meetings took
place with City of San Leandro officials, members of the San Leandro Arts Commission, and
City staff.
Overall, 94 people participated through individual interviews, focus group sessions, and public
meetings.
67
