IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2017-129 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER <br />TO EXECUTE A SECOND AMENDMENT <br />TO THE EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES <br />FIRST RESPONDER ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT <br />SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />WHEREAS, on November 1, 2011, the City of San Leandro (the "City") and the County <br />of Alameda (the "County") executed an Emergency Medical Services First Responder Advanced <br />Life Support Services Agreement (the "Agreement") for the City to provide, and receive funding <br />for, First Responder Advanced Life Support ("FRALS") Units and to serve as a designated <br />provider of FRALS Services; and <br />WHEREAS, on or around May 24, 2016, the City and County executed the First <br />Amendment to the Agreement (the "First Amendment") in order to extend the term of the <br />Agreement and revise the revenue and support provided to the City for the services provided under <br />the Agreement; and <br />WHEREAS, the City and the County desire to revise the Agreement to extend the term of <br />the Agreement to June 30, 2018 in order to permit continuance of FRALS Services from the City <br />and payments from the County for the services provided; and <br />WHEREAS, the City and the County further desire to revise the Agreement to transfer <br />ownership of Alameda County Emergency Medical Services Agency equipment to the City at no <br />cost; and <br />WHEREAS, the City and the County desire to execute an additional amendment to the <br />Agreement to reflect the proposed revisions. <br />
