IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2017-148 <br /> RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE APPROPRIATION OF SUPPLEMENTAL LAW <br /> ENFORCEMENT SERVICES FUND (SLESF) BALANCE TO THE SLESF OPERATING <br /> EXPENDITURES BUDGET FOR 2017-2018 <br /> WHEREAS,the Police Department has multiple projects it needs to fund with money <br /> from the SLESF (aka"Frontline") Fund; and <br /> WHEREAS,the "Frontline" Fund account is a special reserve account to fund police- <br /> specific needs, like equipment, supplies, or services that comply with the State of California's <br /> Grant Guidelines; and <br /> WHEREAS, this appropriation of finds will supply police officers with the equipment, <br /> supplies, and services necessary for conducting law enforcement activities that are not currently <br /> budgeted in the General Fund. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE,the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE that <br /> appropriations from the SLESF ("Frontline") fund shall be as follows: <br /> 1. $50,000 bullet resistant vest purchase; <br /> 2. $25,000 for secure storage of rifles and related equipment; <br /> 3. $15,000 police K9 equipment and training needs; <br /> 4. $60,000 for records management software; <br /> 5. 30,000 for digital evidence storage for the SLPD Jail van video and other miscellaneous <br /> technology upgrades; <br />
