City Council Handbook | 2017 <br /> <br /> <br />15 San Leandro City Council <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Consent Calendar items are routine and are considered for approval by the City Council with a <br />single action. The City Council may remove items from the Consent Calendar for discussion and <br />vote on the item as a separate matter. Items listed on the Consent Calendar are deemed to have <br />been read by title. <br /> <br />REQUESTS BY MEMBERS OF THE COUNCIL TO SCHEDULE AGENDA ITEMS <br />Any item raised as a future agenda item at one of its regular meetings by a Council Member will, <br />by consensus of the Council, be referred for placement on an upcoming Council or Council <br />Committee agenda. The following apply when making a motion to schedule an agenda item: <br />(A) The Presiding Officer will ask Council members to make a motion to indicate their interest <br />in considering the item <br /> <br />(B) The councilmember shall state his/her motion including the title of the item to be <br />scheduled <br /> <br />(C) If the item receives a second, the council will vote to schedule the item. Items that receive <br />a majority vote will be scheduled for a future meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />53
