IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF TI-IF CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2017-169 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO <br /> ENTER INTO A PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR THE ACQUISITION <br /> OF A FIRE LADDER TRUCK FROM PIERCE MANUFACTURING INC. <br /> FOR A NOT-TO-EXCEED PRICE OF S1,260,000 <br /> WHEREAS, the Alameda County Fire Department(ACI;D), serves as the City's fire <br /> department, has a need to replace its existing fire apparatus; and <br /> WHEREAS, although the City contracts with the ACED for fire services, all facilities and <br /> equipment, including Fire trucks, are owned and provided by the City; and <br /> WHEREAS, the bid price by Pierce Manufacturing or the 2017 fire ladder truck is not to <br /> exceed $1,260,000, which includes costs for inspection, delivery, and sales tax; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City proposes to purchase the fire truck by piggy-backing on Alameda <br /> County's Current bid and benefit from the County's bid process. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br /> San Leandro as follows: <br /> To approve the resolution authorizing acquisition of a fire ladder truck from pierce <br /> Manufacturing and authorizing, the City Manager to execute the purchase agreement and other <br /> documents necessary to finance the acquisition. <br /> Introduced by Councilmember Cox, and passed and adopted this 4th day of December <br /> 2017, by the following vote: <br /> Members of the Council: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Ballew, Cox, I lernandez, Lee, Lopez, Thomas; Mayor Cutter (7) <br /> NOES: None (0) <br /> EXCUSED: None (0) <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Tarnika Greenwood, City Clerk <br />
