December 4, 2017City Council Draft Minutes <br />Aye:Cutter, Lopez, Ballew, Hernandez, Thomas, Cox6 - <br />Nay:Lee1 - <br />Enactment No: Min Order 2017-033 <br />8.C.17-689 Staff Report for a Resolution Approving the 2017 Council Members’ <br />Handbook <br />Received and Filed. <br />17-690 RESOLUTION Approving the 2017 Council Members’ Handbook <br />The Council approved the handbook with the following modifications: 1) remove a <br />duplicate entry from page 43; 2) Amend item four of the attendance policy to change <br />the review to once a year in June for the previous 12-month period; and 3) to require <br />Board and Commissioners complete mandatory training within three months of <br />appointment and for the appointing council member to notified if the training is not <br />completed. <br />A motion was made by Mayor Cutter, seconded by Councilmember Cox, that <br />this Resolution be Adopted as Amended. The motion carried by the following <br />vote. <br />Aye:Cutter, Lee, Lopez, Ballew, Hernandez, Thomas, Cox7 - <br />Enactment No: Reso 2017-171 <br />ACTION ITEMS10. <br />REPORT ON CLOSED SESSION ACTIONS TAKEN11. <br />No reportable action was taken in closed session this evening. <br />CITY COUNCIL REPORTS12. <br />City Councilmembers reported on attendance at intergovernmental agency meetings, <br />conferences, and seminars since the last meeting. <br />CITY COUNCIL CALENDAR AND ANNOUNCEMENTS13. <br />City Councilmembers announced calendar of upcoming events and coordinated <br />attendance; reported on local events attended since the last meeting; and made brief <br />comments on issues of concern. <br />COUNCIL REQUESTS TO SCHEDULE AGENDA ITEMS14. <br />By consensus, the City Council agreed to schedule the following items to the Rules <br />Committee: 1) Review of the City's pan handling ordinance; and 2) Consider <br />consolidating the BZA and Planning Commissions. <br />ADJOURN15. <br />Page 5City of San Leandro Printed on 12/11/2017 <br />18
