Broadband Strategy/Fiber Master Plan <br />Committee Request(s)/Direction to Staff: <br />·Reversing the one-way travel direction on Euclid Avenue - Staff to follow-up <br />·Bancroft Middle School drop off zone reconfiguration - Staff to research path needed to <br />bring to Committee, including how and when to involve SLUSD <br />·Pools - permitting process via a land swap <br />·Chabot Park and agreement with EBMUD - Staff to place on the Future Agenda Items <br />3. PUBLIC COMMENTS: <br />Arroyo High School students’ interest was in public school drop offs and landscaping choices to <br />improve air quality. Student Spierce is aware of the congestion in the morning at school drop off <br />zone. He is gathering information to help in editing or creating a policy that allows for the <br />increase of the use of bikes, electric cars, etc. <br />Mayor Cutter requested his contact information so she can provide resources so they can <br />proceed with their research. <br />4. COMMITTEE MEMBER COMMENTS: <br />Committee expressed the need for a dog park east of I-880. Potential locations were mentioned, <br />such as the Downtown Park, fire training area, Creek Trail, or Chabot Park. Staff will research <br />feasibility. <br />Councilmember Cox was excited to see the crosswalk equipment on Estudillo and Collier near <br />Rite-Aid. <br />K. Cooke commented that this is a temporary installation in advance of the permanent <br />improvements; project is currently in design.
