Summary <br />Replace irrigation and landscaping on Marina Blvd from I-880 to Pacific Ave. <br />Description <br />Work includes replacement of irrigation systems or installation of new irrigation systems including installation of a <br />smart clock with a fiber communication connection. Replacement of landscaping to meet Bay Friendly standards; soil <br />will be replaced or amended if possible. Work to extend to medians and street trees adjacent to the Auto Mall and <br />Marina Square. <br />Justification or Benefit of Project <br />Maintenance is increasing and plant health is suffering due to soil compaction and the age of the irrigation system. <br />This project will restore an attractive entrance to this economically important area. <br />Consequences of not doing the Project <br />Maintenance requirements will continue to increase, plant health will continue to decline.
