City of San Leandro <br />Meeting Date: June 4, 2018 <br />Resolution - Council <br />Agenda Section:File Number:18-239 PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />Agenda Number: <br />TO:City Council <br />FROM:Jeff Kay <br />Interim City Manager <br />BY:Tom Liao <br />Community Development Director <br />FINANCE REVIEW:David Baum <br />Finance Director <br />TITLE:RESOLUTION of the City Council of the City of San Leandro to Approve the City <br />of San Leandro U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) <br />Final FY 2018-2019 Annual Action Plan (implements the Housing and <br />Community Development Strategies of the FY 2015-2019 Consolidated Plan <br />and authorizes the execution of all related documents by the City Manager and <br />submission of the Action Plan to HUD) <br />WHEREAS, through provisions of the Housing and Community Development Act and the <br />National Affordable Housing Act (the “Acts”), the federal government makes block grant funding <br />available to local communities for housing and community development activities; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro adopted, by Resolution No. 2015-0080 on April 20, <br />2015, the FY 2015-2019 Consolidated Plan to implement the goals identified in the Acts; and <br />WHEREAS, an Annual Action Plan (referred to hereinafter as “the Plan”) was prepared <br />reflecting the activities that the City proposes to fund and implement during FY 2018-2019, a copy <br />of which is attached hereto; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro held at least two public hearings, solicited public <br />comment for thirty days by publishing a summary of the Plan in the newspaper and by making the <br />Plan available for review at City Hall, in the City Clerk’s office and Community Development <br />Department, in the Main Library, and on the City’s website; and <br />WHEREAS, all public comments received, if any, were considered in the contents of the <br />Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends execution and submission of said Annual <br />Action Plan with Certifications as attached. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San Leandro hereby <br />1. Approves the attached FY 2018-2019 Annual Action Plan, including requisite <br />Certifications to meet the HUD plan submittal deadline of June 29, 2018; <br />2.
