Outreach / Advertising plan for implementing a Vessel Turn-In Program <br />Internal education to boat owners via letters and verbal communication regarding the VTIP program. <br />General public education via the City's website. Currently not on website until new grant is available. <br />DBW State website listing of Marinas with VTIP grants. This seems to be the most popular way people contact us to turn <br />in vessels. <br />Place DBW brochures in the Marina Office lobby. <br />As the City gets closer to decommisioning the marina we will remind boat owners of the VTIP program. Send out letters <br />and verbally speak to all boat owners that wish to turn in the vessel. In addition it is anticipated that several boats will be <br />abandoned near the deadline date of decommission. The City will use grant funds to remove and dispose of such boats. <br />It is anticipated that the decommissioning will occur summer 2019. <br />Attachments:DBW SAVE brochure <br />Is your Boat an Anchor <br />2.
