EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT <br />between <br />CITY OF SAN LEANDRO AND JEFFREY KAY <br />(effective _________) <br />1. PARTIES AND EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />The parties to this Agreement are the City of San Leandro (“City”) and Jeffrey <br />Kay (“Manager”), and the effective date of this Agreement is __________. <br />2. PURPOSE. <br />The purpose of this Agreement is to provide for the employment of Manager as <br />City Manager of City. <br />3. DUTIES. <br />a. City agrees to employ Manager as City Manager of the City of San <br />Leandro to perform the functions and duties specified in the City Charter, <br />the Municipal Code, ordinances, administrative regulations, administrative <br />directives and resolutions of City, and to perform other legally permissible <br />and proper duties and functions as the City Council may from time to time <br />assign. <br />b. Manager shall perform his duties to the best of his ability in accordance <br />with the highest professional and ethical standards applicable to the <br />profession. Manager shall comply with all general rules and regulations <br />established by City. <br /> <br /> <br />261
