<br /> 14 | P a g e <br />City of San Leandro, CA <br />Fiber Master Plan <br />FUNDING SUMMARY <br /> <br />Funding for these broadband networks can come from many sources. <br /> <br />These sources include: <br /> <br />• Dig Once Opportunities <br />• Opportunistic Options <br />• Grants such as traffic signaling funding <br />• Like/kind exchanges with other carriers or providers (BART, CalTrans, utilities, <br />fiber and wireless carriers seeking small cell streetlight pole attachments) <br />• Grants from public safety, transportation and economic development sources <br />• Existing funds including Plan of Record (POR) allowances <br /> <br />Ongoing maintenance funds will be offset by offering wholesale broadband <br />access/services to businesses and anchor institutions. <br /> <br />None of these funding sources has been reflected in the financial model.
