Thus, Magellan Advisors’ <br />recommendation to complete planning of extension of the City’s municipally-owned fiber <br />network is supported by this research. The extensions to the fiber network will increase <br />availability of high-speed fiber-optic based broadband, having favorable effects on choice <br />and value for services. The new fiber network will also provide a set of opportunities to <br />provide new and improved government services, new partnership opportunities, and new <br />revenue streams. <br />
