<br /> 77 | P a g e <br />City of San Leandro, CA <br />Fiber Master Plan <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Presently, and even more so moving into the future, public safety demands high-speed, <br />reliable connectivity to ensure for effective management of their mobile information <br />technology systems. Additionally, the use of closed circuit television, traffic cameras, and <br />pedestrian and bicycle safety initiatives linked to Smart City Applications will continue to <br />underscore the importance of technology to the Police Department. These applications <br />and initiatives are further outlined in Section 2, the Smart City Strategy section of this <br />Plan. <br /> <br />Fire Department <br /> <br />The Alameda County Fire Department (ACFD), through a contract, provides services to <br />the City of San Leandro. ACFD services include fire suppression, hazardous materials <br />migration, paramedic services, urban search & rescue, fire prevention and public <br />education.
