City of San Leandro <br />Meeting Date: October 1, 2018 <br />Resolution - Council <br />Agenda Section:File Number:18-473 CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Agenda Number: <br />TO:City Council <br />FROM:Jeff Kay <br />City Manager <br />BY:David Baum <br />Finance Director <br />FINANCE REVIEW:Not Applicable <br />TITLE:RESOLUTION of the City of San Leandro City Council Declaring Fourteen (14) <br />Vehicles, Twelve (12) Pieces of Equipment, and Other Miscellaneous Items as <br />Surplus and Authorizing the Sale Thereof at Public Auction (approves the public <br />auction for the surplus of said vehicles and equipment). <br />WHEREAS, Section 1-6-500 of the San Leandro Municipal Code authorizes the City’s <br />Purchasing Agent to sell equipment which has become unsuitable or unnecessary for the City <br />purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, Fourteen (14) Vehicles, Twelve (12) Pieces of Equipment, and Other <br />Miscellaneous Items have been identified as no longer useful to City operations and therefore <br />should be declared surplus and sold at auction; and <br />WHEREAS, the San Leandro Unified School District has been contacted and there is no <br />interest in purchasing any of the vehicles. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />Following public notice as may be required by law and in accordance with Section 1-6-500 <br />of the San Leandro Municipal Code the declaration of surplus and authorization of the sale of <br />Fourteen (14) Vehicles, Twelve (12) Pieces of Equipment, and Other Miscellaneous Items at <br />public auction by U.S. Auctions is scheduled for Friday November 2, 2018. <br />Page 1 City of San Leandro Printed on 9/25/2018
