IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2018-129 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL TO AUTHORIZE <br />THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE <br />CUMULATIVE CONTRACT CHANGE ORDERS UP TO A MAXIMUM OF 25% OF <br />THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT AMOUNT OR $473,579 WITH AMERICAN PAVEMENT <br />SYSTEMS, INC. FOR EXPANDING THE LIMITS OF WORK ON THE ANNUAL <br />STREET SEALING 2017-18 PROJECT, PROJECT NO. 2018.0070 AND <br />APPROPRIATION OF $185,000 OF GAS TAX FUNDS (AUTHORIZES EXECUTION <br />OF CONTRACT CHANGE ORDERS UP TO 25% OF THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT <br />AND APPROPRIATES GAS TAX FUNDS FOR THE WORK) <br />WHEREAS, a construction contract was awarded to American Pavement Systems, Inc. <br />on July 16,2018; and <br />WHEREAS, City Council authorized contract change orders up to 15% to clarify the <br />work and respond to unusual existing conditions; and <br />WHEREAS, a contract change order is required to expand the limits of work. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />That the City Manager or his designee is authorized to negotiate and approve cumulative <br />change orders up to a maximum of 25% of the original contract amount, or $473,579; and <br />That $185,000 of Gas Tax Funds are appropriated for the project. <br />Introduced by Councllmelnber Cox and passed and adopted this 15th day of October <br />2018, by the following vote: <br />Members of the Council: <br />AYES: COuncllmembers Ballew, Cox, Hernandez, Lee, Lopez, Thomas; Mayor Cutter (7) <br />NOES: None (II) <br />EXCUSED: None (Il) <br />Marian Flanda, Interim City Clerk <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2018-129 <br />
