City of San Leandro <br />Meeting Date: November 19, 2018 <br />Resolution - Council <br />Agenda Section:File Number:18-548 CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Agenda Number: <br />TO:City Council <br />FROM:Jeff Kay <br />City Manager <br />BY:Debbie Pollart <br />Public Works Director <br />FINANCE REVIEW:David Baum <br />Finance Director <br />TITLE:RESOLUTION of the City of San Leandro City Council to Authorize the City <br />Manager to Execute an Agreement with Ross Recreation Equipment in the <br />Amount of $24,950 for the Installation of Playground Equipment at Marina Park <br />and a Purchase Order in the Amount of $91,226.61 for the Purchase of <br />Playground Equipment <br />WHEREAS, the City Council initially made a finding by resolution on the City’s Siempre <br />Verde Park project playground equipment purchase contract that Landscape Structures, Inc. <br />playground equipment, as marketed and sold by Ross Recreation Equipment, is the City’s sole <br />source provider for playground equipment to provide uniformity and match existing products in <br />use on other public improvements, all in accordance with California Public Contract Code section <br />3400(c); and <br />WHEREAS, a draft agreement between the City of San Leandro and Ross Recreation <br />Equipment was presented to this City Council; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />1.That said agreement, substantially in the form presented, is hereby approved and <br />execution by the City Manager is hereby authorized; and <br />2.That the City Manager is authorized to make non-substantial revisions to said <br />agreement, subject to the approval of the City Attorney; and <br />3.That an original executed agreement shall be attached to and made a part of this <br />resolution. <br />Page 1 City of San Leandro Printed on 11/13/2018
