IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2018-141 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL TO AUTHORIZE <br />THE APPROPRIATION OF $93,000 FROM SUPPLEMENTAL LAW ENFORCEMENT <br />SERVICES FUND (SLESF) BALANCE TO THE SLESF OPERATING EXPENDITURES <br />BUDGET FOR 2018-2019 <br />WHEREAS, the Police Department has Multiple projects it needs to fund with money from the <br />SLESF (aka "Frontline") Fund; and <br />WHEREAS, the "Frontline" Fund account is a special reserve aCCOLIllt to ftind police -specific <br />needs, such as equipment, supplies, or services that comply with the State of California's Grant <br />Guidelines; and <br />WHEREAS, this appropriation of funds will Supply police officers with the equipment, supplies, <br />and services necessary to advance public safety that are not currently budgeted in the General Fund as <br />Outlined in the associated staff report. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Sail Leandro does RESOLVE; <br />That SLESF ("Frontline") appropriations are approved as follows: <br />$25,000 to continue the department's wellness initiatives (150-21-011-5120); <br />$3,000 to send staff to the Crisis Intervention National Conference in Dallas, Texas (150- <br />21-011-5510); 150- <br />21-011-5510); <br />3. $10,000 to send a Police Captain to the Cal -Chief's Leadership Development Course <br />(150-21-011-5510); <br />$25,000 to purchase Patrol equipment and supplies ( 150-21-011-6272); <br />5. $30,000 for replacement of equipment for the department's Hostage Negotiation 'Team <br />(HNT) (150-21-011-7410) <br />Introduced by Councilmernber Cox and passed and adopted this 19th day of November 2018, by <br />the following vote: <br />C� <br />Members of the Council: <br />AYES: COLIncilmernbers Ballew, Cox, Hernandez, Lee, Lopez, Thomas; Mayor Cutter (7) <br />NOES: None (0) <br />EXCUSED: None (0) <br />ATTEST: <br />I�efICW.
