File Number: 19-029 <br />Permits and/or Variances Granted <br />Building permits will be obtained from the Building Department for demolition of the existing <br />building and for construction of the new library facility. <br />Environmental Review <br />The environmental impact of this project will be evaluated during the design phase. If impacts are <br />found which require mitigation, those mitigations will be included in the construction phase of the <br />project. <br />Summary of Public Outreach Efforts <br />This contract will include several public meetings early in the design phase to gather comments, <br />ideas and input from the neighborhood and community. <br />Fiscal Impacts <br />This contract is not to exceed $366,047 with authorization to issue individual contract <br />amendments to the consultant up to 5% or $18,302 each and cumulative contract amendments up <br />to 15%, or $54,907 of the original contract amount. If the maximum contract amendment amount <br />is used, the contract value could potentially be $420,954. The estimated cost of the design <br />portion of this project including associated staff and permit costs is approximately $585,000. <br />The total cost of the project including construction is estimated at up to $4,100,000.
