I feel that your direction is well <br />considered and fair. I would only add that your municipality saves more than heartaches in this action. <br /> <br />1) LA County notes that a 5% hike in apartment unit rental fees puts 2,000 people on the street. <br />2) Causing people to slip in society can have the same measured effect as suddenly reducing their IQ by 12 points <br />(probably through the trauma). <br />3) Perceived inequality within neighborhoods radically increases violent crime <br /> <br />If you stick to your guns on this issue for no other reason than cost, it ought pay off in abundance for San Leandro. <br /> <br />Thank You <br /> <br />Karl Hodges
