File Number: 19-316 <br /> <br />Council Member Cox is in agreement with the proposed cul-de-sac alternative and would not <br />suggest ALCO use Doolittle as an access road. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Lopez indicated her priority is to help preserve space to augment facilities and help <br />to reclaim water. <br /> <br />The Committee wants the Council to review the design contract and review the street dedication. <br /> <br />2.C. 19-251 Staff Update on Project Development Projects <br />City Engineer Nick Thom provided staff update on Project Development Projects. <br /> <br />Committee Requests/Direction to Staff: <br />Council Member Cox inquired about the life expectancy of the metal roof and was pleased with <br />the proposed plans for Farrelly Pool. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Lopez commented that the privacy screen proposed around the pool may not be <br />necessary for public safety. <br />The Committee recommends that privacy fencing be a bid alternative for fencing options before <br />making a decision. Keith Cooke will provide an update to the committee at the June Facilities <br />and Transportation meeting. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Lopez requested Oakland City Council Member Larry Reid be copied on the letter <br />drafted to Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf on the MacArthur Superior Roundabout project. A time <br />frame for the project should be included in this correspondence. <br />The Committee would like to look at options to reduce speeds at the Roundabout. <br /> <br />2.D. 19-252 Staff Update on Land Development Projects <br /> Principal Engineer Michael Stella provided staff update on Land Development Projects <br /> <br />Committee Requests/Direction to Staff: <br />Vice Mayor Lopez recommended Council Member Hernandez to be informed regarding work on <br />East 14th Street. <br />Committee clarified traffic signage is for vehicles that have left the highway will be directed back <br />to the highway by automated traffic signing being installed by MTC. <br />Neighbor traffic calming will be added as part of future agenda item. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Lopez requests for the Committee to look into the use of reclaimed water for <br />construction purposes. <br /> <br />Council Member Cox inquired about city water fountains and bottle filling stations. <br /> <br />2.E. 19-253 Discussion Regarding Future Agenda Items <br />Page 3 City of San Leandro Printed on 8/28/2019 <br />31
