City of San Leandro Meeting Date: September 3, 2019 Resolution - Council Agenda Section:File Number:19-459 CONSENT CALENDAR Agenda Number: TO:City Council FROM:Jeff Kay City Manager BY:Jeff Kay City Manager FINANCE REVIEW:Not Applicable TITLE:RESOLUTION of the City of San Leandro City Council to Approve and Authorize the City Manager to Apply for Statewide Park Development and Community Revitalization Program Grant Funds WHEREAS, the State Department of Parks and Recreation was delegated the responsibility by the Legislature of the State of California for the administration of the Statewide Park Development and Community Revitalization Grant Program, including setting up necessary procedures that govern the application process; and WHEREAS, said procedures established by the State Department of Parks and Recreation require the Applicant to certify by resolution the approval of the application that is submitted to the State; and WHEREAS, successful Applicants will enter into a contract with the State of California to complete the scope of the project as outlined in the grant application. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro hereby RESOLVES that: Action by the City Manager is approved and execution is authorized to file a grant application for the renovation of Memorial Park in San Leandro; and 1. The City of San Leandro, as the Applicant, has or will have available, prior to commencement of any work on the project included in its application, sufficient matching funds if required to complete the project if the grant is awarded; and 2. The City of San Leandro, as the Applicant, certifies that if the project is awarded, the Applicant has or will have sufficient funds to operate and maintain the project, and 3. The City of San Leandro, as the Applicant, certifies that the Applicant has reviewed, understands, and agrees to the General Provisions contained in the contract shown Page 1 City of San Leandro Printed on 8/28/2019 219
