Announcements <br />None. <br /> <br />2. DISCUSSION ITEMS <br />2.A.19-383 Discussion of the Mulford-Marina Branch Library Project <br />COMMITTEE REQUESTS/DIRECTION TO STAFF: <br />a. Vice Mayor Lopez preferred Pivot Design and angled/pitched roof, <br />suggested that the community room be available outside of normal library <br />hours and recommended exploring installation of a stove/oven. She also <br />suggested the classroom should be A/V equipped to maximize education <br />opportunities. <br />b. Councilmember Cox recommended informing the San Leandro Unified <br />School District about the library classroom for K-12 programs. She <br />preferred Pivot Design and angled/pitched roof, suggested exploring <br />alternatives to a flat roof. She requested that staff explore library grant <br />funding for construction of second phase and landscaping. <br />c. Mayor Cutter preferred Pivot Design and angled/pitched roof, requested <br />that staff investigate grant funding opportunities for installation of solar <br />charging stations. She suggested decorative fencing around the corner to <br />prevent animals from relieving themselves and damaging the <br />landscaping. If additional landscaping is planned, she requested Police <br />Department staff review to ensure adequate visibility from the street. <br />3. PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />Public comment received from Ms. Adrienne de Ponte, Ms. Ginny Masen, <br />Ms. Wing Mok and Mr. Michael Gregory. <br />4.
