City of San Leandro <br />Meeting Date: September 16, 2019 <br />Resolution - Council <br />Agenda Section:File Number:19-497 CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Agenda Number: <br />TO:City Council <br />FROM:Jeff Kay <br />City Manager <br />BY:David Baum <br />Finance Director <br />FINANCE REVIEW:David Baum <br />Finance Director <br />TITLE:RESOLUTION of the City of San Leandro to Authorize the Purchase of Fire <br />Ladder Truck Equipment at a Cost of Up to $236,578 <br />WHEREAS, the Alameda County Fire Department (ACFD), in serving as the City's fire <br />department, has a need to replace its existing fire apparatus; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, although the City contracts with the ACFD for fire services, all facilities and <br />equipment, including fire trucks, are owned and provided by the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the estimated price for the new fire ladder truck equipment is not to exceed <br />$236,578, which includes costs for inspection, delivery, and sales tax; and <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of San <br />Leandro as follows: <br />To approve the resolution authorizing acquisition of fire ladder truck equipment and <br />authorizing the City Manager to execute the purchase agreement and other documents necessary <br />to finance the acquisition <br />Page 1 City of San Leandro Printed on 9/11/2019 <br />86
