28-Aug-201919:145 5 of 35 <br /># Benefitting <br /> Date: Time: Page: Page: <br />SAN LEANDRO <br />Office of Community Planning and Development <br />Integrated Disbursement and Information System <br />U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development <br />CDBG Activity Summary Report (GPR) for Program Year 2018 <br />Accomplishment NarrativeIn FY 2017-2018 the City of San Leandro Public Works Department and Community Development Department established a plan on how toproceed with the allocated funding <br /> to date. There will be two phases to work carried out with these grant funds. Phase 1 will be conducted fromJuly 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019 and will include adding ADA curb ramps on sidewalks <br /> in the public right-of-way. Phase 2 will continue with theimplementation of capital improvements to advance the City's ADA Transition Plan that has been noted in prior year reporting <br /> in this Activity.Proposed work with include installing Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant concrete walkways, asphalt pavement, landscaping,striping and signage at City <br /> facilities.In FY 2018-2019 the City of San Leandro allocated $203,974 in CDBG grant funds to improve public facilities. Community Development staffcontinues to work with Engineering <br /> & Transportation (E&T) staff to carry out ADA Transition Plan projects. In FY 17-18 staff defined two phasesof work. Phase 1 will install ADA curb ramps on sidewalks within the public <br /> right-of-way citywide as-needed. Phase 2 will continue to addresshigh priority work in City buildings described in the City's ADA transition plan.
