City of San Leandro Meeting Date: October 7, 2019 Resolution - Council Agenda Section:File Number:19-438 CONSENT CALENDAR Agenda Number: TO:City Council FROM:Jeff Kay City Manager BY:Keith Cooke Engineering & Transportation Director FINANCE REVIEW:David Baum Finance Director TITLE:RESOLUTION of the City of San Leandro City Council to Approve a Consulting Services Agreement for $66,047 with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. for Design Services for the E. 14th Street (North Area) Pedestrian Lighting, Project 2018.5420; and to Authorize the City Manager to Execute the Agreement and Negotiate and Approve Individual Contract Amendments up to 5% and Cumulative Contract Amendments up to 15% of the Original Contract Amount (provides for design services for pedestrian lighting improvements along E. 14th Street between Durant Avenue and Georgia Way) WHEREAS, an agreement between the City of San Leandro and Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. a copy of which is attached, was presented to this City Council; and WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the scope of work; and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: That said agreement substantially in the form presented is hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is hereby authorized; and That the City Manager or his designee is authorized to negotiate and approve individual contract amendments up to a maximum of $3,302, which is 5% of the original contract amount; and That the City Manager or his designee is authorized to negotiate and approve cumulative contract amendments up to a maximum of $9,907, which is 15% of the original contract amount, for a total not to exceed amount of $75,954; and Page 1 City of San Leandro Printed on 10/2/2019 61
