City of San Leandro <br />Meeting Date: November 4, 2019 <br />Resolution - Council <br />Agenda Section:File Number:19-565 CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Agenda Number: <br />TO:City Council <br />FROM:Jeff Kay <br />City Manager <br />BY:Debbie Pollart <br />Public Works Director <br />FINANCE REVIEW:David Baum <br />Finance Director <br />TITLE:RESOLUTION of the City of San Leandro City Council to Authorize the City <br />Manager to Execute a Non-Professional Services Agreement with Solenis, LLC, <br />in the Amount Not to Exceed $760,000 Over Five Years for Polymer Selection <br />and Supply Services at the Water Pollution Control Plant; And to Authorize <br />Purchasing Up To $100,000 of Polymer from SNF Polydyne <br />WHEREAS, City staff sought competitive proposals for polymer selection and supply <br />services and the Solenis, LLC proposal provides the best value and is the most advantageous to <br />the City; and <br />WHEREAS, an agreement between the City and Solenis, LLC, a copy of which is <br />attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, was presented to the City Council; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof and desires to award a <br />contract to Solenis, LLC for polymer selection and supply services at the Water Pollution Control <br />Plant; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement; and <br />WHEREAS, the supply of functional polymer must be uninterrupted; and <br />WHEREAS, to ensure an uninterrupted supply of polymer and in the event that the new <br />polymer costs more than the current polymer or service levels fail to meet expectations, it is <br />necessary to retain the services of the current supplier, SNF Polydyne; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />1. That the City Council awards the agreement, substantially in the form presented, to <br />Solenis, LLC in the amount not to exceed $760,000 over five years and the City <br />Manager is authorized to execute the agreement; and <br />2. That the City Manager is authorized to make non-substantial revisions to said <br />agreement, subject to the approval of the City Attorney; and <br />3.
