City of San Leandro <br />Meeting Date: June 1, 2020 <br />Resolution - Council <br />Agenda Section:File Number:20-211 CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Agenda Number: <br />TO:City Council <br />FROM:Jeff Kay <br />City Manager <br />BY:Jeanette Dong <br />Recreation and Human Services Director <br />FINANCE REVIEW:Liz Warmerdam <br />Interim Finance Director <br />TITLE:RESOLUTION of the City of San Leandro City Council to Authorize the City <br />Manager to Approve a Non-Professional Service Agreement with ANI Private <br />Security and Patrol, Inc. for $65,000 <br />WHEREAS, ANI Private Security and Patrol, Inc. provided a response to the City’s request for <br />proposals for security services for social events at the Marina and Senior Community Center, in <br />the City of San Leandro; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council supports facility reservations and allows these security services <br />to be available for the rentals of both the Titan Auditorium at the Marina Community Center and <br />Main Hall at the Senior Community Center; and <br />WHEREAS, the City supports the continuation of a safe environment at social events; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has had previous contractual agreements with security companies for <br />said work since 2011 and wishes to create the new contract through the Fiscal Year 2020-21; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the terms of the agreement; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: <br />1. That said agreement, attached hereto and made a part hereof, is for the duration of the 2020- <br />21 Fiscal Year and is hereby approved; and <br />2. That the terms of the agreement will be memorialized in writing, and may be amended from <br />time to time by the City Manager, subject to the approval of the City Attorney as to form; and <br />Page 1 City of San Leandro Printed on 5/28/2020 <br />118
