<br /> Consolidated Plan SAN LEANDRO 56 <br />OMB Control No: 2506-0117 (exp. 06/30/2018) <br />Goal Descriptions <br /> <br />1 Goal Name Affordable Housing Needs Goals <br />Goal <br />Description <br />The City's Single-Family Housing Rehabilitation Program, which is administered by Neighborhood Solutions, will provide <br />grants to fifteen (15) very low- and low-income households for minor repairs to their homes. $90,000 CDBG funds will be <br />used to provide these minor home repair grants. <br />The City will continue to implement its FY 2010-2014 Fair Housing Plan, specifically designed to assist the City to <br />"affirmatively further fair housing". The City will provide $10,000 CDBG funds to ECHO Housing, a regional fair housing <br />counseling agency, to provide housing discrimination services to ten (10) very low- and low-income clients. <br />These projects are further detailed in section "AP - 38 Project Summary". <br />In addition, the City will receive HOME funds in the amount of $141,964 from HUD via the Alameda County HOME <br />Consortium. Alameda County is the lead administrator for HOME funds under the County HOME Consortium. The City will <br />also carry over $433,772 in HOME funds from previous years for a total $575,736 in total HOME amount for project <br />expenditures. The City proposes to continue to use HOME funds for the acquisition, rehabilitation, and/or new construction <br />of affordable rental housing as well as tenant-based rental assistance for lower income households in need. Currently, <br />however, the are no proposed HOME-funded projects. <br /> <br />151
