That the City Manager or his designee is directed to work with community members and <br />make best efforts to ensure that any such painting work is completed in such a way that it will not <br />interfere with other street markings that are necessary for the safety of pedestrians, bicyclists, <br />vehicle operators, public transit, waste collection, street cleaning, stormwater runoff, or other <br />ancillary municipal functions or procedures that are necessary to protect the public’s health, safety <br />and welfare, including all signage giving notice of approval and necessary regulations related to <br />the painting; and <br />4. That the community members and artists leading this effort are encouraged to work with <br />local community residents and business owners whose properties are located adjacent to the <br />proposed mural to ensure that they are provided an opportunity for input into the project in <br />advance of its completion. <br />Page 2 City of San Leandro Printed on 7/15/2020 <br />370
