RESOLUTION THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION NO. 2020-088 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL TO IMPOSE LIENS FOR NON-PAYMENT OF DELINQUENT 2020 BUSINESS LICENSE TAX, SOLID WASTE SERVICE CHARGES, CERTIFIED UNIFIED PROGRAM AGENCY (CUPA) FEES, CODE COMPLIANCE ADMINISTRATIVE PENALTIES AND CHARGES, AND PLANNING PERMIT FEES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Leandro reviewed the Reports of the Finance Director, and List No. 2020-001 for 2020 business license tax, List No. 2020-002 for solid waste fees and charges, List No. 2020-003 for CUPA fees, List No. 2020-004 for code compliance administrative penalties and charges, and List No. 2020-005 planning permits fees, copies of which are attached hereto and incorporated herein. All of said charges are currently unpaid and delinquent; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the San Leandro Municipal Code, notice was duly given of the time and place for the hearing on said delinquent charges and upon any objections or protest by any of the property owners liable to be liened for non-payment of such delinquent charges; and WHEREAS, said hearing was regularly set for on or about 6:00 p.m. on July 20, 2020, at a publicly noticed and open regular meeting of the City Council held in accordance with Governor Newsom's Executive Order N-29-20; and WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro City Council heard and passed on objections and protests of the property owners liable to be assessed for the delinquent charges. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: That the Reports of the Finance Director concerning non-payment of business license taxes and City service charges, bearing list numbers 2020-001, 2020-002, 2020-003, 2020-004 and 2020-005, are received, and confirmed; and IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that said assessments of delinquent charges of the City of San Leandro are hereby approved and confirmed and a lien is hereby imposed upon said real property in the amount set therein; and IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that a notice of lien shall be delivered to the County Auditor, who shall enter the amount thereof on the County Assessment Book opposite the description of the particular property and the amount shall be collected together with all other taxes thereon against the property.
