(Color subject <br />to Golf Course Operations Manager approval.) <br />2.14 SHRUB BEDS 1 SEASONAL COLOR BEDS / PERIPHERY AREAS <br />2.14.1 Shrub Beds <br />2.14.1.1 Clean up shall occur on a regular basis, minimum <br />monthly, to ensure that beds are kept free of fallen <br />branches, excessive leaves and weeds. Trash such <br />as papers, cans, bottles and other debris will be <br />removed immediately on a daily basis. <br />2.14.1.2 Weed control shall be accomplished through both <br />chemical and mechanical means. It is the intent of the <br />City to avoid the use of chemicals whenever practical. <br />When chemicals are used in planting beds for weed <br />control, care must be exercised to not damage <br />desirable plant materials. If chemical drift occurs, <br />Contractor must immediately replace the damaged <br />plant material with an appropriately sized <br />substitute of the same genus and species of plant. <br />All chemical use must be approved in advance by the <br />Exhibit E — Maintenance Standards June 1, 2020 <br />City of San Leandro and American Golf Corporation Page 27 of 45 <br />
