City of San Leandro <br />Meeting Date: September 28, 2020 <br />Resolution - Council <br />Agenda Section:File Number:20-420 CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Agenda Number: <br />TO:City Council <br />FROM:Jeff Kay <br />City Manager <br />BY:Keith Cooke <br />Engineering & Transportation Director <br />FINANCE REVIEW:Susan Hsieh <br />Finance Director <br />TITLE:RESOLUTION of the City of San Leandro City Council to Approve a Reduction in <br />the Number of Vehicle Travel Lanes from Three to Two and Installation of a Class <br />IV Bicycle Lane on Fairmont Drive from Hesperian Boulevard to East 14th Street <br />(Authorizes repurposing one travel lane in each direction on Fairmont Drive for <br />use as a class IV bicycle lane) <br />WHEREAS, a traffic engineering report evaluating the impact of a reduction in the number <br />of travel lanes is presented to this City Council; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of a reduction in travel lanes from <br />three to two and installation of Class IV Bicycle Lanes on Fairmont Drive from Hesperian <br />Boulevard to East 14th Street. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />That Fairmont Drive from Hesperian Boulevard to East 14th Street shall be restriped such <br />that there are two vehicle travel lanes and one class IV bicycle lane in each direction. <br />Page 1 City of San Leandro Printed on 9/23/2020 <br />262
