RESOLUTION THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION NO.2020-135 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL APPOINTING A REPLACEMENT REPRESENTATIVE TO THE COMMUNITY ADVISORY BUDGET TASK FORCE TO SUCCEED ANOTHER TASK FORCE MEMBER WHO RESIGNED WHEREAS, on September 28, 2020, the City Council of the City of San Leandro appointed 28 members of the public to serve on the Community Advisory Budget Task Force; and WHEREAS, shortly after making those appointments, the City Council Member from District 2 was informed that one of his appointees (Mr. Tony Smith) was no longer able to serve on the Task Force and would need to resign from the Task Force; and WHEREAS, as of the date of this Resolution, the Task Force has only just commenced meeting and so there is still sufficient time for a replacement appointee to take the place of their predecessor on the Task Force; and WHEREAS, the City Council Member representing District 2 seeks to nominate Mr. Robert Bailey (who is a resident of District 5) as an at -large replacement appointee to the Task Force. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: That Mr. Robert Bailey is hereby appointed to serve as a member of the 28-person Community Advisory Budget Task Force, as the successor for the position formerly held by Mr. Tony Smith.
