May 28, 2020Disaster Council Minutes <br />Healthcare Services <br />•Hospitals <br />•Davis Street Family Resource Center <br />•Red Cross <br />•SL Elder Care Alliance <br />2.D. <br />Kaiser Hospital reported that they are still doing their programming and modeling, as <br />well as doing phase opening and because of that there has been a lot of rescheduling <br />and staff training. There has been an increase of cases and hospitalizations of COVID <br />patients and staff is concerned because of people not wearing their masks. <br />San Leandro Hospital reported that the number of COVID patients is low and they <br />continue to test and care for those who have been infected, while looking at how to <br />plan for resuming some of the services that were shut down and accumulating surge <br />supplies. They are also planning for weather changes. <br />Davis Street Family Resource Center reported that they are given out food to an <br />average of 100 families daily and have partnered with a local produce company to <br />provide boxes of fresh produce twice a week. Jefferson is still open, though the Center <br />is blending into family day care homes, primarily in the Eden area. The clinic continues <br />to test and planning on doing rapid testing and antibody testing, and plan to do mobile <br />testing at Trailer Haven. Davis Street used the SLKindness website for volunteer and <br />now have rotation of consistent volunteers. <br />Red Cross reported that the organization is anticipating on being on call to do the <br />things that were usually do for small fires, while refine procedures for safety. The Red <br />Cross will not be involved for PSPS, though will respond if there is a wildland fire. <br />School Districts <br />•San Leandro <br />•San Lorenzo <br />2.E. <br />San Leandro Unified reported food distribution, distant learning, disinfection program, <br />and construction projects are all going very well, and they are continuing to work on the <br />logistics for the new student enrollment at the Barbara Lee Center on June 9th and <br />June 11th.
