She had attended a webinar for <br />Women Mayors Group and Michelle Obama was discussing the voting and the <br />difficulties associated with that and that California will have mail in voting. She also <br />shared that the community would like to have testing in San Leandro and that the City <br />has awarded 60 $5000 grants to small businesses within San Leandro. A public <br />meeting on June 1st will discuss how to disperse the $1 million Community <br />Development Department Grant (CBDG). <br />Vice Mayor Ballew reported that the city council was asked to weigh in on where the <br />grants could go and staff understood and maintained a fair and transparent process, in <br />order to ensure that the money will be distributed quickly in a fair manner. <br />Councilmember Lopez has received emails with questions about why the case rate <br />Page 2City of San Leandro
