<br />Consulting Services Agreement between City of San Leandro and Last revised 09/01/2020 <br />Ecological Concerns Incorporated Exhibit A – Page 1 of 1 <br />EXHIBIT A <br /> <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> <br />Conduct Invasive Weed Management and Restoration Activities <br /> <br />Ecological Concerns Incorporated (ECI) will conduct priority invasive weed maintenance and <br />restoration activities to the extent feasible within the budget provided by the City. The <br />following activities may be included under this scope of work and additional or different <br />activities may be carried out in accordance with the Weed Manual and the recent Mapping and <br />Prioritization Update Memo, as recommended by ECI and approved by the City, or as requested <br />by the City, as the budget allows: <br /> <br />• Follow up on areas treated in FY 11-12 through FY 19-20. <br />• Treat areas identified in the planning documents or by ECI field staff but not treated so <br />far due to timing or lack of funding under in the previous year. <br />• Continue to weed the high-quality patch of creeping rye grass to preserve it as a <br />resource for future restoration projects, and harvest creeping rye grass divisions and <br />propagate at ECI’s nurseries for future outplanting at SLSM if requested by the City. <br />• Continue to focus control efforts on high-priority invasive weeds, including pepperweed, <br />French broom, thistles, and jubata grass. <br />• Document invasive weed control work conducted. <br />• Continue planning and or implementation of additional scope as identified in the <br />recently prepared Mapping and Prioritization Update Memo (or other additional scope <br />as identified by ECI and the City), as informed by City feedback and as feasible within the <br />budget. <br />• Treat areas identified in the planning documents or by ECI field staff but not treated so <br />far due to timing or lack of funding under in the previous year(s). <br />• Continue planning and/or implementation of additional scope as identified in the <br />recently prepared Mapping and Prioritization Update Memo (or other additional scope <br />as identified by ECI and the City), as informed by City feedback and as feasible within the <br />budget. <br /> <br />All weed control and restoration will be carried out in accordance with the m ethods <br />recommended in the Weed Manual, or similar methods as determined by ECI. The period of <br />work is anticipated to be from September 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021. All weed control <br />will be limited to the SLSM property; weed control within the golf course and railroad and <br />Alameda County Flood Control right-of-ways are excluded.
