<br /> <br /> <br />Regularly Features. The term “regularly features” with respect to an adult theater or adult cabaret <br />means a regular and substantial course of conduct. The fact that live performances which are <br />distinguished or characterized by an emphasis upon the display of specified anatomical areas or <br />specified sexual activities occurs on two or more occasions within a 30 day period; three or more <br />occasions within a 60 day period; or four or more occasions within a 180 day period, shall to the <br />extent permitted by law be deemed to be a regular and substantial course of conduct. <br /> <br />Research and Development Services. Research of an industrial, scientific, or medical nature, including <br />associated office space, indoor laboratories, and testing facilities. This classification may include small- <br />scale indoor fabrication as part of the research function, but excludes mass manufacturing, <br />fabrication, or processing of products. <br /> <br />Residential Congregate Care Facilities. Use of a residence for the purpose of providing, for a fee, adult <br />day care and/or 24 hour-a-day, non-medical residential living accommodations, day treatment, or <br />foster agency services for seven or more individuals, and where the duration of stay is determined, in <br />whole or in part, by the individual residents’ participation in group or individual activities, such as <br />counseling, recovery planning, and medical or therapeutic assistance. This classification includes <br />facilities licensed by the State of California. <br /> <br />Residential Congregate Care Facilities, Limited. Use of a residence for the purpose of providing, for a <br />fee, adult day care and/or 24 hour-a-day, non-medical residential living accommodations, day <br />treatment, or foster agency services for up to six individuals, and where the duration of stay is <br />determined, in whole or in part, by the individual residents’ participation in group or individual <br />activities, such as counseling, recovery planning, and medical or therapeutic assistance. This <br />classification includes facilities licensed by the State of California. <br /> <br />Residential Hotels. Buildings with six or more guest rooms without kitchen facilities in individual <br />rooms, or kitchen facilities for the exclusive use of guests, and which are also the primary residences <br />of the hotel guests. <br /> <br />Residuals Repositories for Hazardous Waste: A hazardous waste disposal facility for collection of <br />residual wastes, defined as the residues from hazardous waste treatment facilities after treatment, <br />and other irreducible stabilized or detoxified hazardous wastes. <br /> <br />Restaurants, Full-Service. An establishment which serves food or beverages for consumption primarily <br />on the premises. Food is cooked or prepared on the premises on a customer-demand basis. Generally, <br />seating and tables for on-premises customer dining is provided, with table service (waiters or <br />waitresses) and non-disposable tableware. This classification does not include Bars, Fast Food <br />Establishments, or Cafés (see “Bars”, “Fast Food Establishments, Large Scale” and “Fast Food <br />Establishments, Small Scale” and “Cafés”). <br /> <br />Retail Sales. The retail sale of merchandise not specifically listed under another use classification. This <br />classification includes, but is not limited to, clothing stores, quality re-sale consignment stores, and <br />businesses retailing the following goods: toys, hobby supplies, handcrafted items, gift items, jewelry, <br />books, cameras, photographic supplies, music media, videos, sporting goods (excluding uses where <br />gun and ammunition sale are the primary use - see “Gun or Weapon Shop” definition), kitchen
