Bernadel-Huey <br />Announcements1.B. <br />Members of the Disaster Council introduced themselves and the agencies they <br />represent. <br />DISCUSSION ITEMS2. <br />City of San Leandro response to COVID-19 <br />•San Leandro City Council <br />2.A. <br />Mayor Cutter reported that the testing site at the Marina Community Center has 132 <br />appointments per day and all are being used. The City is issuing a new order which <br />waives fees for the restaurants, while trying to streamline the process for approvals and <br />inspections and working with restaurants who want to provide outside dining. The city is <br />also looking at ways to get information out about face coverings. <br />Vice Mayor Ballew expressed condolences to the city staff and Jim Hyde’s family. He <br />reported that he has been in discussions with restaurant owners and how outside <br />dining will help them. He encouraged partners to start the discussion about how to <br />provide the vaccine when it is available. <br />Councilmember Lopez also sends her condolences to the city staff and Jim Hyde’s <br />Page 2City of San Leandro
